WBEZ, Worldview: Ahmed Rehab on the politics behind Egypt’s possible IMF loan


Egypt had reached an initial agreement for a loan with the International Monetary Fund back in November, but after a series of violent protests, President Morsi postponed the tax increases that would be needed in order to meet the austerity measures required to secure the IMF loan. It’s unclear what will happen. Ahmed Rehab, executive director of CAIR-Chicago, joins to discuss the political implications.
