Chicago Public Radio: Ahmed Rehab gives update from Egypt on the presidential elections

On June 20th, CAIR-Chicago’s Executive Director, Ahmed Rehab, provided an update on the current state of the Egyptian elections during an interview on Worldview on WBEZ 91.5 FM. Rehab flew back He returned home to Egypt last week to vote and has stayed on to join the protests in Tahrir Square.

Rehab discusses the candidates in the presidential race, Morsi and Shafik, the views of the Egyptian people concerning the two candidates, and Morsi’s narrow win last weekend. Rehab also debunks recent reports claiming that former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak had died.
