Mr. Silvio Berlusconi, perhaps in naive anticipation of applause from his German hosts, claimed during a press conference in Berlin that the Western civilization was superior to the Islamic one. Berlusconi was quoted as saying , “We must be aware of the superiority of our civilization,… in contrast with Islamic countries.”
